Blacksmithing: Augers/Center Bits
Entire populations have been wowed with the idea of making something out of nothing. But making nothing out of something is also a trick. Until recent history, making holes in wood, metal, and stone was an activity requiring great time and effort. In this class we will explore the hand-skills required to fashion simple center bits and augers to efficiently fashion holes in wood. An added bonus will be the making of square and tapered holes. The perfect class for the minimalist in you!
The fourth in Jim Slining’s series of special topic blacksmithing classes.
