Tinsmithing: Coffee/Tea Pots
Instructor Mike Runyon on the class: “We will look at a variety of tea pot, coffee pot, and coffee boiler styles from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Uses and construction techniques of each piece will be discussed. Students will then work through the project of their choosing. Options will range from relatively simple Shaker style tea pots to complex Filey style bent spout coffee posts. Projects will be based on time restraints and students’ skill level.
PREREQUISITE: Experience in historical tinsmithing techniques preferred but not required.
