Midwest Ox Drovers Association 2017 Gathering
MODA 2017 Gathering
June 23-25, 2017
Join us as we welcome the Midwest Ox Drovers as they gather for their annual event at Tillers International.
Come learn about oxen, driving oxen, watch the Ox Driving Skills competition and the Ox Walk Parade and Wagon Tour of the farm, and more. See a number of visiting teams working in the fields and woods. Enjoy home-cooked meals and friendly conversations about oxen in the big tent. Bid on oxen equipment and memorabilia in the auction. Cheer for your favorite drover and team in the obstacle course. Each gathering has a specific educational focus involving the use of oxen in farming. This year’s focus is the use of oxen for hay making.
MODA is an organization created by new ox drovers to promote the use of oxen to American youth (and adults) as well as to those in foreign lands, so that all may be shown their diversity and skills, even in this modern world. We do this to keep our American heritage alive and to educate those who can benefit from our experiences. For more information on the gathering and the Midwest Ox Drovers Association group, visit their website: MODA
