This hands-on class covers essential skills such as shaping a blade, crafting a handle, assembling a friction-folder mechanism, and finishing your knife. You’ll leave with a functional handcrafted knife and the confidence to continue exploring the craft.

If you have taken classes at Tillers, you have probably met John Sarge. He’s worked at Tillers for several years in a variety of capacities. John mostly does metalworking, but he’s done a bit of everything around the farm. His goal is to help students increase their basic skills so they can start making things.
