This introductory two-day class equips students with the knowledge and confidence to raise goats and sheep on pasture or in the woods. Topics include selecting livestock, nutrition, shelter, fencing, basic medical care, parasite management, and working with herding or guardian dogs. Hands-on demonstrations will cover milking, hoof care, health evaluations, and using temporary electric fencing to manage paddocks. Participants will also practice working with livestock and herding dogs.
