Make a trivet in this intermediate blacksmithing class. This one-day class will build on introductory blacksmithing skills while introducing techniques for measuring, duplicating parts, riveting, chamfering, and file work to finish the project. You’ll leave with a functional forged trivet designed to support hot pots or pans and protect tables or countertops from heat.

Pat Corcoran is a blacksmith and class instructor at Steelrose Forge in Columbiaville, Michigan. With six years of blacksmithing experience, he leads beginner and horseshoe knife classes and assists with commissioned work and small forge projects. Pat has trained at Tillers International, the Michigan Folk School, and the John C. Campbell Folk School. He holds ABANA Level 1 and Level 2 certifications and is a Level 1 Instructor. Pat is also an active member of the Michigan Artist Blacksmith Association (MABA) and the Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North America (ABANA).
