Students will construct a plain, sturdy coffin in the style of those from the early 1900’s–a simple pine box, made with care. Starting with a few boards, some cut nails, and mainly employing hand tools, students will lay out, prepare, and assemble a coffin to be used when the time comes. Options for using the coffin to store books, records, or other items will be explored as well. Beginner class.
The wood for this class will be purchased 3 weeks in advance. Register before September 5th to reserve your spot!
